Since the new two-story laboratory facility construction was completed in
2005, bringing the total building space to 22,000 sq.ft., periodic internal and
external expansions have continued to add functional lab space. In 2008, the
radiochemistry department grew an additional 500 sq.ft. In 2009, the
microbiology lab was enlarged by 360 sq.ft. and the sample preparation area
gained 480 sq.ft.
With continuing success in business growth, Weck Laboratories recently built
out more floor space on the second floor over our sample receiving area for
records retention and sample container storage. This new storage area added
1,800 sq.ft. to the overall facility. Our current effort involves converting
the original upstairs area into office space for customer service, project
management, accounting, quality assurance and management personnel. The former
office space downstairs (see orange highlight on floorplan) will then be
converted into 800 sq.ft. of new laboratory space.
The virtual tour on our website will be updated once all the construction is
completed and laboratory equipment is installed in the beginning of 2015.
