Weck Laboratories Receives US DOD-ELAP Accreditation

Weck Laboratories receives United States Department of Defense Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (DOD-ELAP) approval. Weck Labs is also listed on the DOD Environment, Safety and Occupational Health Network and Information Exchange (DENIX) website listing of accredited labs.

Environmental testing of samples for assessment and remediation of military sites for two parameters not typically available from other DOD-ELAP approved laboratories is available from Weck Laboratories. The approved test methods are EPA9020M and SM5320B for Total Organic Halides (TOX) by adsorption pyrolysis titrimetry and EPA 537 for Perflourinated Alkyl Acids by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS). The perfluorinated compounds include the following target compounds:

  • Perfluorooctanesulfonic Acid (PFOS)
  • Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA)
  • Perfluorononanoic acid (PFNA)
  • Perfluorohexanesulfonic acid (PFHxS)
  • Perfluoroheptanoic acid (PFHpA)
  • Perfluorobutanesulfonic acid (PFBS)
