EPA has finalized extensive changes to the analysis and sampling procedures in the wastewater (NPDES) and drinking water (SDWA) regulations. These changes include new methods; updated versions of currently approved methods; revised method modification and analytical requirements; withdrawal of certain outdated methods; and changes to sample collection, preservation, and holding time requirements. Highlights from the final rule are summarized on the California Department of Health Services, Division of Laboratory Sciences, Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program’s “What’s New” webpage:
